Whats That Car Club help

Use the club platform with confidence.

Find clubs, build your garage, apply for membership, book events, manage your history and keep club administration organised in one place.

Member quick start

Whats That Car Club is built around the way car clubs actually work: your profile, your garage, your memberships and your event bookings stay connected.

  1. Create a member account from Register.
  2. Add your vehicles in Member Garage so clubs can understand eligibility.
  3. Browse Find Clubs and apply to the clubs that fit your car, region or interests.
  4. Book upcoming events, then use your dashboard to manage bookings.
  5. Review completed bookings in My History.

Garage and eligibility

Your garage helps clubs make quicker membership decisions. It is especially useful for marque clubs, classic clubs, performance clubs and groups that need vehicle approval before accepting new members.

What to add

  • Vehicle make, model, year and any useful category details.
  • Enough information for a club organiser to understand why the vehicle fits.
  • Updates when you sell, replace or significantly change a vehicle.

How eligibility works

Open clubs can usually be joined straight away. Restricted clubs may compare your garage against their accepted cars and review your request before approving membership.

Clubs and membership

Each club page can show the club profile, accepted cars, rules, latest updates and upcoming events. Use it to decide whether the club is right for you before joining.

Membership statuses

  • Active: you are a member and can use member features where available.
  • Pending: the organiser still needs to review your request.
  • Rejected or removed: contact the club organiser if you believe this is incorrect.

If a club requires approval, add an eligible vehicle before applying. That gives the organiser the context they need.

Events, bookings and history

The events page only focuses on live and upcoming activity, such as meets, drives, shows, workshops and track days. When an event is over, it is removed from public upcoming lists and kept in member history for users who booked it.

Before booking

  • Check the date, time, location, organiser, cost and available spaces.
  • Use filters to narrow events by type, date range, price or availability.
  • For multi-date events, select the sessions you plan to attend.
  • Use Add to calendar or Directions where those options are available.

Changing a booking

You can cancel unpaid bookings from the event page or dashboard. If payment has already been recorded, contact the organiser or platform manager so the booking can be handled correctly.

Club organiser tools

The club leader area is an administration workspace, not a public marketing page. It is designed for managing a club, its members and the users connected to that group.

Use the club leader area to:

  • Review member applications and approve or reject requests.
  • Check active members and their membership status.
  • View events connected to your club.
  • Keep club settings, accepted cars and joining rules accurate.
  • Move between clubs using the side navigation if you manage more than one.

For best results, keep club rules short, accepted-car requirements specific and event titles clear enough to scan quickly.

Messages and marketplace

Messages support marketplace enquiries and member conversations. The marketplace is for relevant cars, parts, tools and useful club items.

Good marketplace listings

  • Use a clear title, accurate price and honest condition notes.
  • Add useful images where possible.
  • Keep collection or delivery details practical without oversharing personal information.
  • Update or remove the listing when it is no longer available.

Accessibility tools

The accessibility panel lets you adjust text size, contrast and motion. These preferences are saved in your browser so the site stays easier to use on later visits.

  • Increase text size if compact dashboard or listing content is hard to read.
  • Use high contrast or soft contrast if the standard colours are not comfortable.
  • Use reduced motion if movement is distracting.
  • Use keyboard focus and the skip link to move through the site without a mouse.

Privacy and data rights

Whats That Car Club uses personal data to run accounts, garages, club memberships, bookings, messages, marketplace listings, safety tools and administration. The Privacy Notice explains what is collected, why it is used, who may see it and how long it may be kept.

You can ask us to:

  • Provide a copy of your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete account information.
  • Delete data where there is no lawful reason to keep it.
