Driving Challenge Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Driving Challenge uses, why it is used, where it is stored and the choices available to you.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Copper Fox Digital, operating the Whats That Car Club service, is the controller for personal data processed through the game. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to sales@copperfoxdigital.co.uk.
2. Information the game uses
You can play without creating an account. When you save a score, the game may process:
- Game data: your score and the date and time it was saved.
- Leaderboard identity: your account display name or email address when signed in, or “Guest player” when playing as a guest.
- Account data: your Firebase user ID when signed in.
- Club data: the ID and name of a club you select, your pending club-points balance and related point activity.
- Technical data: browser, device, IP address, security and diagnostic information that may be processed by our hosting and Firebase services.
The game does not require access to your camera, microphone, contacts or precise location.
3. How and why we use the information

4. Local storage and cookies
The game uses browser local storage to keep up to ten recent leaderboard entries and, where relevant, a pending club-points balance on your device. Local storage remains until it is cleared through your browser settings or by other device cleanup. Clearing it can remove locally saved scores and pending balances. Authentication and security services may also use necessary browser storage.

5. Leaderboard visibility
Saved scores may appear on the public game leaderboard with the associated player name and score. If your account has no display name, your email address may currently be used as the leaderboard name. Do not save a score if you do not want that name displayed. Guest scores are labelled “Guest player”.
6. Where information is stored and shared
Scores and pending club-point records may be stored in Google Firebase as well as in your browser. We may share relevant information with hosting, cloud, security and technical-support providers that help us operate the service. Authorised administrators may access records where needed for support, moderation, security or fraud prevention. We do not sell game data as a standalone product.
Service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where data-protection law requires it, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.
7. How long information is kept
Browser data is kept until you clear it. Shared scores and club-point records are kept while needed to operate the leaderboard and reward features, investigate misuse, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. We may remove old, duplicate, invalid or inappropriate leaderboard records sooner. Account-linked game data may be retained for a reasonable period after account closure where necessary for security, audit or legal claims.
8. Your choices and rights
You may play as a guest and may choose not to save a completed score. Signed-in players can select “No club” so that no club points are awarded. Depending on applicable law, you may ask us for access to your personal data or request correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability.
To exercise a right or request removal of a leaderboard entry, email sales@copperfoxdigital.co.uk with enough information for us to identify the record. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
9. Children
The game is not intended to collect personal data from children through unsupervised accounts. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information should contact us so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game, its data use or legal requirements change. The latest version and update date will remain available on this page.
